This isn’t the journey I thought I’d be doing right now. I thought I’d be preparing to go north. But we know things don’t always go to plan.

Attempting to go north is incredibly challenging — more than anything I’ve done before. So now that I have a year, it’s important to use it wisely. A year to prepare as much as I can.

Ready to train, carrying all of my expedition gear and one non-expedition outfit — I couldn’t fit anything else in.
