Going North – Day 1

I’m on day one. I’ve started my expedition, taking my two sleds with me. I’ve got all of my gear, food and fuel with me, I’ve got 60 days of food with me and I’m aiming to do a round trip.

My sleds are quite heavy at the moment so it’s slow going. You can track my trip on the map on my website (www.polarpreet.com).

This blog is dedicated to both of my Grandads, Nana Ji and Baba Ji. They have both passed away now but I know they’re looking down on me. My Nana Ji saw the response from my Antarctic expeditions and he used to go around Derby showing people laminated newspaper cuttings from my trips. I hope I can continue to make you both proud.
