Going North – Day 24

Hi Everyone, Day 24.

Another mixed day today with big patches of pressure ridges. Which are these big blocks of ice that are hard to move through. I have my skis off and snowshoes on trying to get through them.

Special thankyou to Vanessa van Aaken who first contacted me about a year ago while I was training in Arctic Canada. When I was in Ottawa for just one day, Vanessa drove me around the city so I could pick up the gear I needed, and helped take my equipment to cargo when I couldn’t get everything onto my flight. And she was preparing for her own high altitude expedition in Chile at the same time.
