Going North – Day 39

Day 39.

This is my last blog post before I head back to my start point tomorrow. This postis dedicated to me.

I’ve been told no a lot and things often dont go the way we want them to. When I wanted to do my first ever Antarctic expedtion my boss said no.

When I wanted to try cross the land mass in Antarctica the logistics company first said no. I went on to do three solo expeditions in Antarctica gaining four world records.

Most recently I diddn’t make it to the start line to go to the North Pole so I changed my plan and did the expediton that I am on instead.

I wanted to write a book and was told by publishers they are not looking for books by women in adventure.

I wrote a kids book and a local bookshop told me they had no room on the shelf for my book.

Not everything will go your way. Many people will say i’m stubborn but i’m determined and proud of myself for pushing on

I was burnt out before even starting this expedition just from trying to get to the start line. I don’t know when or in what capacity but I know that one day I will make it to the North Pole.
