I’m really touched to receive the Geographical Award from the Royal Geographical Society.
From the start, my aim with these expeditions was to inspire people to step outside their comfort zones and see what they’re capable of. Growing up, I didn’t see people like me represented in this space, so being recognised in this way, really means a lot. I hope it encourages even more of them to explore, ask questions, and realise they belong in these spaces too.
