We Rise by Lifting Others

Last week I was fortunate enough to be on the Twin Otter aircraft to drop off Hege Victoria on her solo and unsupported expedition to the South Pole.

Last year I set the female speed record. This year she aims to beat it and I’m cheering her on all the way.

We only met a couple of days ago before she left but her determination and courage is apparent. She’s an exceptional human being.

A few people have asked me how I feel about someone going to break the record I set. I feel proud and hope that I can help them achieve it. I truly believe we rise by lifting others and there is more than enough room for all of us.
