Over the last three years I’ve completed three solo expeditions in Antarctica, gaining four Guinness World Records. It has been an incredible journey.
Now I’m aiming to go North, as far as I can towards the North Pole, starting from Canada.
The journey is less than 500 miles but I will be on sea ice which is moving, making it even more challenging.
I will have to cross sections of open water, climb over rough ice and deal with temperatures of -50deg.
Currently no female has travelled solo to the North Pole. There is a slim chance that I will actually make it to the North Pole – but wouldn’t it be incredible if I did!
I believe it is important to push ourselves outside of our comfort zone and try, even if there is a high chance of failure. I hope to inspire others to try something even if it’s difficult to reach the end. There is beauty in the journey itself.
I’m not conquering anything, I’m attempting something that we don’t know is even possible. But those that know me know that I will give it my all and leave nothing on the table.

It was lovely to see you on the TV the other day talking about your expeditions, you are amazing and have so much drive an ambition in you, I wish you well.
I would love you to come to the schools that I work with as you are such an inspiration to the younger generation, let me know when that would be possible and I will sent the Slough School details.
